Maghreb Steel celebrated Planet Week under the theme: "Let’s act for our planet!"

As part of its commitment to sustainable development, Maghreb Steel organized an Environment Week focused on awareness-raising, collective action, and the promotion of internal innovation.

The main goal was to actively involve employees in the company’s environmental approach by engaging them in concrete and participatory initiatives.

The week began with a tree-planting operation—a strong symbol of our dedication to preserving biodiversity and protecting ecosystems. This foundational act set the tone for the rest of the week.

In a spirit of collaboration and civic engagement, Maghreb Steel employees joined forces with students from the MARWA school for a major waste collection campaign in the Chellalat forest. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about pollution and strengthen our collective commitment to preserving natural spaces.

Throughout the week, awareness workshops were held within the company. These sessions covered a wide range of topics, including waste management, energy savings, eco-friendly workplace habits, and environmental responsibility in industrial practices. The objective was to embed sustainable behaviors into daily professional life.

A key highlight of the week was the internal “Green Challenge” competition, inviting employees to submit innovative ideas related to sustainable development. The most relevant, realistic, and high-impact initiatives were presented to an internal jury, showcased, and rewarded.

The week concluded with an award ceremony, celebrating the creativity, commitment, and involvement of the participants. This friendly gathering was an opportunity to highlight collective efforts and reinforce the company’s environmental culture.

At Maghreb Steel, every action counts. This Environment Week reflects our determination to build a more responsible industry by engaging our teams in a sustainable dynamic and making environmental respect a true lever of collective performance.
